We had a magical stay at Mirumiru and we can't wipe the smiles off our faces after our weekend there. The best service, amazing views and set up. Our girls loved sleeping in the hanging tent! Amazing location, pictures do not do this wonderful little getaway justice. Take your time to enjoy every moment from the fire, to the outdoor Victorian bath to the stars, it’s all a glorious experience. Will be back!

As we were travelling from QLD to SYD with no plans on where to stop. We had come across these bubbletents. To which was a lovely, relaxing change to the same old hotel/motel. Great way to be in each other's company and enjoy the peace & quiet. Comfy bed. To top it off you get to lay in bed look up & see the stars in the sky. Friendly owners, very welcoming & helpful.

A unique outdoor camping experience underneath glorious starry night skies
We spent two wonderful days and nights staying in the Thunderbolt Bubbletent at Mirmumiru near Tenterfield. It was a pleasant country road drive from the Tweed Coast. On first sight and with our host’s explanation of the site we were struck by the creativity and imagination that has gone into the development. The fire pit, the bbq plate, the stocked outdoor kitchen and the luxurious hot bath were all great but the ‘star’ of the stay is lying back and being amazed by the views of stunning night skies from the comfort of a cosy queen sized bed. Lots of places to visit and enjoy in the Tenterfield area.

We had an amazing day yesterday exploring, starting with the most delicious breakfast and coffee at The Gallery Café and then onto Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Bald Rock and Mt McKenzie. Wow! What an amazing property. Cathryn has thought of everything to make your stay super comfy & luxe. The bed, linen, electric blankets, pillows, toiletries, bath robes and all of the little extras were amazing. Even with cloud cover the whole time and heavy rain each night, we had an absolute blast. The town of Tenterfield and surrounding endless National Parks leave you wanting to stay for several more nights to have the time to see it all. We will be back for sure.

Mirumiru Bubbletent is an accommodation experience like no other. Cathryn, the host, has done such an incredible job creating a unique and beautiful accommodation offering in Tenterfield. Relaxing in the outdoor vintage bath with a cup of tea and a book, cooking dinner on the outdoor firepit while watching the sunset and sleeping in the bubbletent with an unobstructed view of the stars. The perfect place to base yourself when exploring the local National Parks and village. It's an experience i'll never forgot and I'd recommend.

This was a magical stay. Cathryn thought of everything you would need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Tenterfield is cold but that is all part of the experience. The bubble tent was equipped with electric blankets, hot water bottles, OOdies, warm socks and hot hot water for your outdoor shower. The first night we were there we went to bed and thought the stars were incredible until the moon went down and the sky became even more amazing to look at. The seams in the tent roof disappear when the moon does and it is like you are floating in a spaceship. We lay for hours counting the shooting stars. Not only is the accommodation great but Tenterfield as a destination has so much to offer. The nearby National Parks were stunning with waterfalls and huge granite boulders. Tenterfield has some great places to eat and the history of the town itself is so interesting. We couldn't recommend this more. Treat yourself and go!

Wonderful experience in a beautiful town. This was something totally different but so enjoyable.
Mirumiru was exactly what you want in a high country escape. Amazing views of dramatic granite ridges, where you let the day become night. Nights where the stars pulsate and the temperature drops dramatically. Beautiful stands of Eucalypt behind your bubbletent where Maggies and Rosellas roost. You’ll lose count of the shooting stars you count from bed. Cathryn and Brad have done a stellar job of turning an overgrazed hobby farmer block into a haven for native animals. Can’t wait to see the saplings that they’ve planted grow into established trees. The tent and amenities themselves are top tier, with all the creature comforts you want from a glamping experience. Can’t recommend it enough!

The most wonderful stay!
Cathryn is the best host! she thinks of everything. We didn’t come very prepared for the cold but she had oodies and slippers and all things warm already set out for us. she is so accommodating and so lovely! My sister and I stayed in the Captain Moonlite bubble tent, we absolutely loved it! The view and this property is so beautiful. The bath tub on the deck was my favourite part, sitting in a hot tub with cold winds and the most amazing views. We will definitely be back here we adore this place!
I have never seen the night sky so clearly!
What a great stay! My partner and I visited early June and fell in love with the clamping experience. We stayed in the Thunderbolt Bubbletent for two nights and loved sitting by the fire pit at night. The hot chocolate, coffee and tea provided was very yummy and the cheese board lasted us for both nights of our stay. Have never used an eco-composting toilet before we visited, but we loved the sustainable off-grid design of the tent. So many gorgeous things to do in Tenterfield and the New England area as well - we sure got our walking boots on!
