BUSHWALKING
Pack a picnic and enjoy any of the easy to reach national parks close by - Bald Rock, Boonoo Boonoo, Torrington, Tooloom, Koreelah and Basket Swamp. And if you want to head over the border to Queensland both Girraween and Sundown national parks make a great day trip.
TENTERFIELD VILLAGES
Visit the historic villages throughout New England and learn about the boom and bust days of gold, tin, timber and more. If you want to stay close to Mirumiru Bubbletent, you can download the Tenterfield Soundtrail app for free and take a walk through history in town (available from the App Store & Google Play).
BE A BUSHRANGER
Head to Captain Thunderbolt’s granite boulders hideout to see where he and his horses camped during the height of the gold rush. The hideout is an easy walk 150 metres from Mt Lindesay Road. Learn more about Captain Thunderbolt here.
FAMOUS FLORAL DESIGN
Surrounded by antiques and a lovingly grown English style garden, White Cottage Flower Farm is where you and a loved one can learn how to arrange the most beautiful blooms. Enjoy the Mirumiru private flower arranging class in the gorgeous glasshouse with owner, Mandy. Also included is a light morning tea and everyone leaves with a small floral display.
